UAS Engineer

The Role

Our team is growing in capability and capacity, leading to an immediate need for an enthusiastic, passionate and hands-on person to take on the role of UAS Engineer.

In this position, you will take ownership of major parts of the aircraft and help take it from design to flight and into service. You will work across the full lifecycle, requirements, design, analysis, build, test, and iteration side-by-side with an engineering team.

What you will do:

  • Own key elements of the aircraft architecture – Structure, Propulsion systems, aerodynamics and more.
  • Lead design reviews, perform analysis and create test plans.
  • Design, prototype and iterate.
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturers; run technical trade-offs and make data-driven decisions.
  • Support flight test activities, including system preparation, test planning, and post-flight data analysis.

About you:

  • 3+ years’ experience designing and prototyping drones.
  • Degree in aerospace (bachelor’s or master’s)
  • Solid understanding of UAS components and integration
  • Experience in flight-testing of VTOL drone.
  • Strong problem-solving, independent thinking, and clear technical communication.
  • Passionate about taking on technical challenges and pushing into unknowns.

Nice to have:

  • Experienced with Pixhawk and open-source flight controllers (e.g., PX4, ArduPilot) and ground control systems.
  • Experience with VTOL drones and BVLOS operation
  • Knowledge of composites and lightweight structures, and 3D printing.

AIRCRAFT DESIGN ENGINEER

Kevalya is an innovative aerospace engineer passionate about unmanned aerial systems, and sustainable civil aviation. He holds a Master’s in Aerospace Vehicle Design from Cranfield University and a Bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he gained experience in UAV design and aerodynamic analysis. Kevalya has over two years of experience at NewSpace Research and Technologies (Bengaluru, India), contributing to UAV design, testing, and AI integration for swarm drone operations. He played a key role in the first tandem wing UAV in India. With experience in aircraft design, structural analysis, aerodynamics, and flight testing, Kevalya brings valuable skills in cutting-edge aerospace projects involving unmanned systems and sustainable aviation.

Duncan J. J. Potter
Sales & Marketing Director

Duncan Potter has an extensive background of experience in multiple multinational corporations in senior management roles, including Managing Director, European Director and Commercial Director. Duncan was a Managing Partner in a large IADA accredited business aviation brokerage with headquarters in the United States and then a Partner in the European distributor for the Eclipse Business Jet. Duncan holds a Private Pilot’s Licence and has been a keen General Aviation follower for over 30 years. He lived in Brazil for many years, Russia for 2 years, The Netherlands for 5 years and is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
